Privacy Policy

1. What the App Does

Framéd is a macOS menu bar utility for ratio-locked and dimension-locked screenshots. It uses Apple system frameworks to request Screen Recording permission, present a capture overlay, and save screenshots to the macOS screenshot destination.

2. Data Collection

Framéd does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data.

The app does not collect:

• Names, email addresses, accounts, or contact details
• Analytics, tracking identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage profiles
• Screenshot content, screen contents, filenames, or capture history on any server
• Crash, diagnostic, or telemetry data outside Apple-provided system mechanisms

3. Data Stored on Your Mac

Framéd stores preferences locally so the app can remember your capture setup. This can include selected dimensions, presets, shortcut bindings, output format, notification preference, launch-at-login preference, and a security-scoped bookmark for the screenshot destination when macOS sandbox access requires it.

This data remains on your Mac. Removing the app and its local preferences removes this app data.

4. Permissions

Framéd requests Screen Recording permission because macOS requires it for direct screenshot capture with a custom selection overlay. Framéd may also ask you to authorize the screenshot folder when sandbox access is needed to save captures.

These permissions are controlled by macOS. You can review or revoke them in System Settings at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

Framéd does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, cloud storage, or tracking services.

6. Cookies and Website

This static landing page does not require cookies or user accounts.

7. Children's Privacy

Framéd does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
